  We just arrived a week ago, and immediately I got to meet a big crowd of cool queers at the night out organised through the BCN. Given that, and the walkable Main Street (I hate driving), and the fabulous nature within spitting distance, I think this place is pretty special. Oh, and did I mention the year-round farmer's market and the very nice health food store? I could go on...

  Hey Alan! Mandy and I really love Beacon and have lived here for a few years now. No detractors really come to mind. We love the accessability to outdoor acticvities like hiking and kayaking as well as the outgoing character of the community members here. We are also house hunting and were just given the name of a realtor recommended to us by another gay couple that recently bought here. If you'd like, I can pass the info on to you.   We have had very positive responses from our neighbors and have met a number of very nice couples. We are quite happy here and don't have anything negative to report thus far... our neighbor even mowed our lawn for us the other day :)
