Mill Street Loft has been based in Poughkeepsie, NY for 30 years. A couple years ago, we reach out to Beacon to start a girls empowerment program in conjunction with the Beacon City Schools. The program, PASWORD, has been very successful and well received. With that in mind, Mill Street Loft has been working along side many individuals and organizations in the City of Beacon to establish Riverside Arts: Beacon which will be located in Scenic Hudson’s Long Dock Park and will feature Mill Street Loft’s already successful programs, a community space, an outdoor performance space, ranger and information center, and a “green” gallery.

Hasn't Mill Street Loft been part of Beacon for years now? At least I think they used to operate here and I don't remember that kind of collaboration from this group. Glad to see they're expanding their ambition.

As people continue to VOTE and PROMOTE they help us to be able to change lives through the arts in Beacon. Numerous collaborations with local artists and art venues as well as other organizations are already planned. Mill Street Loft looks forward to becoming a productive member of the already vibrant Beacon Community. You can also vote by Texting 102994 to Pepsi (73774).

This is a great opportunity peoples of Beacon! Please vote every day and network this thing! Beacon can do it. Rosendale recently won $50,000 to purchase an old theater.

We need to hustle, though. With voting days 33% gone, the Mill Street grant is stuck in 75th place. Let's go!
