Common Ground Farm will be offering an 8-week series of farm and nature workshops for children ages 2 -4 years old, with a care provider, starting on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 15 & 16. Each week will cover a different topic, including Sunflowers, The 3 Sisters: Corn, Beans & Squash, Tractors & Farm Machines, Nature in Autumn, and many more. Classes are experiential and include stories, songs, crafts and activities specially designed for young children. Cost: $7 per class or $50 for the series. Location: Common Ground Farm, on the grounds of Stonykill Farm just north of Beacon on Route 9D. To register, email Jen Clapp at education@commongroundfarm.org or call (845)838-1822.

I can't do anything past 2 because my own kids are just getting out of school. But I would love to host the local preschools for field trips to the farm. If Penny's preschool wants to come, lets get it going on!
