Pot Luck Today With Music Jam, and Masks program

Sargent-Downing Gardens at 724 Wolcott Ave Beacon Ny  is pleased to offer the following classes and workshops in July.
      Stories and Masks of Western Africa - this is a 2 day workshop 7/7 and 7/14. 1-3pm. Taught by Alejandro Lopez.  Exploring how nature is presented in art and stories.

        Music in the Garden - Sundays 7/7 and 7/14  4-6pm. Come and play or listen to this music jam in the garden.  Bring a blanket for your self and a dish to share to this potluck.

        Starting 7/18. 11-1 The Nature of Things.  This is a class set to explore nature through science and Art.  Learn about insects, pollinators, Bubbles!!  Build a terrarium or maybe a wind mill!
This is a six week session.  Materials fee of $5.00 per class

        July 20 1-2 Making Jewel-Weed soap. Taught by Sarah Elizabeth and Sheryl Glickman(Notions-n-Potions)
This class includes a walk to identify Jewel-weed and the proper way to harvest and dry herbs.
Materials fee of $3.00

         July 27 10am. Summer Herbs with Sarah Elizabeth. Take a walk through our garden and surrounding area to learn about what bounty awaits. Edible herbs and how to plan and care for them.

Pre-registration isn't necessary but is encouraged for all classes.
