I remember Randy saying that, and he said we're at the whims of the economy, which is true. And he said the developers just don't want to wait months and months for approval: uncertainty is the biggest problem. Rejection of a project is ok if it is a fast turn around, waiting forever is not. I get that.
Now thankfully we have some streamlining due the committee's excellent work.
And seeing the quality of a sample offering, I can see those class notes were worth the price!
Oh, and I sold my class notes when I was in college, through the student union at UMass, Amherst.
Randy Casale mentioned discussions he's had with developers who are waiting for the zoning regs before moving forward with projects.
Amazing notes Stowe. Wish I had you in my classes in college.
I was at the meeting too and am wondering most about the reaction of developers: are we going to hear crickets or a rush of activity?
