I'm glad to know nothing changes in my home town. Things don't need to make sense to be right.
City Council meeting topic: 344 Main St. Discussion starts at 1:10
The only good thing about this is, it is right before an election. Let us look at this rationally.
a) will totally demolish the buildings immediately. good!
b) will not. bad!
a) has complete plans that are professional and go through the process. Good.
b) not so much Bad.
a) is paying 20K cash for the lot Good
b) 5K cash. Bad
a) obviously from the professional plans, financial backing etc will be on
the tax roll quickly. Meaning years more tax money for Beacon Good
b) somehow some council people feel it will be the same in the long run Bad
(no real plans, not even tearing down the buildings immediately, years late
At least it is on film. I pray that for Beaon's sake. That one of those council people steps up and changes their vote.
It is shocking. Clearly the vote is not about helping Main Street but helping personal friends. So open about it too, how about when they admit the plans they vote for not right but will be in planning????? What?????
thanks for this
explain your opinion if you can
Thanks for posting this I have seen it and am deeply disappointed in the decision making process. Everyone should watch and be informed.
