Lifelong Beacon Resident John Fasulo

On behalf of his wife Cecile and daughter Maya, I regret to inform John's beloved Beacon community of his sudden passing yesterday, May 14, 2014.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th from 2pm-3pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W in Marlboro, NY. A funeral service will follow at the DiDonato Funeral Home at 3pm on Saturday. http://didonatofuneralservice.com

A memorial to celebrate John's life, and his passion for photography will be planned for the fall.

In lieu of flowers it was John's wish that donations would benefit the college education of his daughter Maya Fasulo (12 years old). A fund has been established for this purpose (linked below).

John and I met together with Mayor Randy about doing something with the Beacon Line. And I'm glad he made noise about the rusting old Tioronda Bridge buttress work. I look forward to the retrospective of his photography, he has has some great shots of the railroad, in Beacon, elsewhere, past and present.

John was always positive about and believed in Beacon and he was a good influence on our gem of a city. Beacon has lost an advocate.
