HPL Food for Fines from Now until the New Year!

Donations of non-perishables, such as peanut butter, canned tuna and bags of rice, will be accepted as payment of fines owed on Howland Public Library books, cds, dvds, and other materials.  Non-perishables will be donated to our Main Street neighbors at The Salvation Army.  Food for Fines doesn’t apply to fees for lost or damaged materials or for long-overdue items from other libraries. Items past their expiration dates and homemade items cannot be accepted. Fine free?  Good for you!  But please consider donating, too.  Pictured: Ruthie Maldonado from The Salvation Army says, “People need food!” Help your neighbors. Help yourselves.  Return overdue HPL items with a non-perishable item (or two!) this holiday season.  Happy holidays from all of us at the Howland Public Library!
