My girlfriend and I have been going bonkers with cabin fever this winter.  We were wondering what to do one weekend and really wished that there was an atrium like the many in the city.  Then it occurred to me: thanks to the Fishbacks, residents of Beacon have free access to the DIA on weekends.  So we have been taking advantage of that great benefit.  We sit in the Wharhol exhibit and read for hours.  The couches are comfortable and the silence makes a great place to enjoy a great read.  So if you get tired of doing the same old thing this winter, visit the DIA, our very own Atrium.

The cafe at Dia is open in the winter, and most of the sandwiches are around $8-10.  I believe the Warhol gallery is being deinstalled soon, in order to make room for the upcoming Blinky Palermo retrospective, but there are other places to hang out in the museum. (I was a gallery attendant least year.)
