Beacon Citizen Network (BCN): a place for neighbors to get the word out, be heard and stay informed in all matters concerning Beacon, NY.



Don’t miss this chance to visit 62 artists’ studios all over the city of Beacon. Every aspect of Beacon Open Studios is totally free and open to the public. Check out artists working in a variety of mediums-painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, textiles, and on and on. Visit the website or pick up a free catalog to help plan your weekend.
The weekend April 28-29. Self-guided tours 12-6pm. Be sure to checkout Truck City where artists rent moving trucks and create pop-up mobile galleries to display their work. You'll find Truck City in the parking lot of Spire Studios, 45 Beekman St. just off Rte 9D as you hear towards the train station.

The Kickoff Show at Hudson Beach Glass 162 Main St. is on view from now until the 30th of April. Open every day 10am-6pm, Sundays 11am-6pm. Check out one work from every participating artist and pick up a catalog with a map to the studios.
The Kickoff Party, also at Hudson Beach Glass, on Friday April 27th from 7-10pm. Start the weekend right with a proper arty-party! Snacks and beverages provided for free.
Cake cutting ceremony-join artist Tess Elliot at 4pm on Sunday April 29th as she cuts the Breakneck Cake. She will spend the open studios weekend creating a scale model of Breakneck Ridge in cake. All are invited to partake in cake at 4pm in Truck City 45 Beekman St.
