Beacon Citizen Network (BCN): a place for neighbors to get the word out, be heard and stay informed in all matters concerning Beacon, NY.



According to Goldee Greene's article in the most recent Beacon Free Press, it sounds like there are several hoops still to be cleared by the project.

Here's a brief synopsis of the Beacon Free Press piece:
- City Council and Planning Board hearings are required before getting greenlight from state agencies
- A change in architects slowed the project
- New plans will have the hotel 55' high at highest point
- Doral Arrowood, a Rye Brook based hotel, will operate the Long Dock hotel
- Construction is estimated to take 14-18 months

- 140 hotel rooms
- 2 restaurants
