Bike Accident

Does anyone know if the cyclist involved in a serious bike accident on 9D Monday morning is ok? If anyone knows anythings please share; I hope he or she is recovering well.

Thank You BOE!

Well, it looks like democracy works! You all did a great job in brining it to the attention of the school board how important the pool and fitness center is to our community. Tonight the school board agreed to keep the pool open for the fall semester from September to January for a $100 fee. During this period we need to work on building the membership back to at least 200 people in order to keep it open from January to June and for years to come. We are…

Board of Education meeting this Thursday July 7th we will meet to save the community pool at the High School @ 6:30 PM

Thank you to all the people who showed up on Saturday, we are off to a good start in formulating an action plan to save the pool and fitness center. At the Saturday meeting, we agreed to meet at 6:30 PM in front of the High School entrance before the board meeting on July 7. The actual BOE meeting begins at 7:00 PM. Now is the time for all interested members the make their voices heard.

Why Beacon needs a Commission On Human Relations

If you are interested in learning more about the commission stay tuned into the Beacon Citizen and check the local papers. The commission will be holding a meeting in the fall (dates will be posted soon) with guest speakers discussing why a Commission on Human Relations is important in our community.
