We urge you to enjoy the Corn Festival in Beacon by the dock this Sunday! There will be no program at the Sargent and Downing Gardens Educational Center this Sunday, as we will be supporting and enjoying the Corn Festival festivities also.However if you would like afterwards to visit our gardens you can see the corn and all the other beautiful plants growing in our spiral garden. The O2 Compost Company Donated One Of the O2 Compost Systems Units For The New Sargent & Downing Gardens Children's Educational Center!

Last week the owner Peter Moon of O2 Compost came to NYC all the way from Seattle to meet with Queens College to plan out the new system being installed there which is presently under construction. He also got a chance to meet up with Richie Cabo between his busy work scheduel.

College students will be learning all about the new echo friendly way to compost much more efficiently without man hours of manually turning compost piles, while also reducing the carbon footprint of the…
