Giving Thanks ... at Madam Brett Park

Last winter, the runoff of sewage flowing across the hiking trail in Madam Brett Park -- even after a light rainstorm -- was terrible. Yesterday (11/23), though we had some pretty heavy rain, the hiking trail was perfectly clean.

In the spirit of the season, let's give thanks to the folks who spent a lot of time and money and effort (it couldn't have been a pleasant job -- we're talking about sewage) to re-engineer the pipes to make the hiking trail safe and clean.

Thanks,…

Giant Hogweed: do NOT touch. Report it to the NYS DEC.

So it's coming folks, established in Putnam and creeping into Northern Westchester and Southern Dutchess, an invasive plant that makes poison ivy look cuddly: giant hogweed.

Want to make a difference? PAY CASH!

Want to really make a difference and fight the banks...shop local and PAY CASH! Why cash? Not because retailers don't have to pay taxes...most do and it is so regulated now that it is nearly impossible not to. Pay cash so retailers don't have to pay CC fees!
