My grandson Bryce Edwards who is 12 years old and in the 8th grade, is playing one of the leading roles in the play Pinkalicious. He plays Pink's little brother Peter.
The play has already had 3 performances last weekend so I can tell you it was really great. If is a family play so if you have kids and grand kids, I highly recommend it. There is a lot of singing and dancing, and never a dull moment. It is about an hour or so long.

Like most Beaconites, I greatly appreciate the work that's been done at Long Dock and the surrounding park.
But does anyone know why the area is being treated with pesticides for the remainder of October? (According to the warning signs along the walkways, it's being treated until 10/29.)
Is there really a serious pest problem there? I'd hate to see that once-wild area -- former home to red foxes, deer and other wildlife -- turn completely into a toxic suburban golf…
