City of Beacon Water Issues

Sargent~Downing Garden Bees Are Buzzing;I am Waiting For Night to Fall So I Can Bring Them To Thier New Home In Beacon!

Today The group has donated a complete established beehive to the Sargent ~Downing Gardens Educational Center in the University Settlement Camp Park.They are also coming to our 2nd Annual Roast and Music Festival Fundraiser on Oct 13th to do a Free Bee Keeping Seminar for the Sargent~Downing Gardens Community.

It is now 6:39 and I am waiting for dark to fall so I can close up the hive and drive it home to Beacon in my van. That sounds like an adventure for a newbie…

New Yoga Program to Feature Classes in a Beautiful Setting

The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls is pleased to announce the September opening of their new yoga program, Yoga at The Roundhouse. Anyone with cablevision having internet connection issues today 8/21?

It may seem absurd to ask on an internet forum!

But the connectivity problems only seems to affect certain sites, and is not affected.

Beaco Music Society?

This is for all our Beacon musicians. I am wondering if Beacon has or ever did have a town music society? I have been dreaming of summer concerts for the public on summer and fall evenings, in a central location on Main St., like the Cross St. Lot or (even better) the DMV lot. Bees & O2 Composting Are Coming To The Grass Roots Sargent~Downing Gardens & Nursery

The SD Gardens Education Center will be receiving a beehive from the they are donating a beehive to SDGardens.They have been holding one for Sargent~Downing Gardens and have just been awaiting the approval by the Beacon Recreation Dept. and the Beacon City Council. Main Street Sharrows Initiative - Bikeable Beacon, Scenic Hudson, Beacon Streets

We need your support: Bikeable Beacon and Scenic Hudson has been advocating that the city of Beacon put sharrows on Main Street (and other thoroughfares of the city) for some time. Sharrow is short for 'shared lane bicycle marking', and painting them on Main Street would make clear the current regulations for bikes, which is a/ no bikes on the sidewalks, and b/ bikes and cars share the pavement.
