Has anyone else experienced water issues, such as losing water pressure or water service entirely? If so, please contact me - email@example.com. Particularly if you've had to pay to have your water restored.
Today The NYCBeekeeping.org group has donated a complete established beehive to the Sargent ~Downing Gardens Educational Center in the University Settlement Camp Park.They are also coming to our 2nd Annual Roast and Music Festival Fundraiser on Oct 13th to do a Free Bee Keeping Seminar for the Sargent~Downing Gardens Community.
It is now 6:39 and I am waiting for dark to fall so I can close up the hive and drive it home to Beacon in my van. That sounds like an adventure for a newbie…Continue

We urge you to enjoy the Corn Festival in Beacon by the dock this Sunday! There will be no program at the Sargent and Downing Gardens Educational Center this Sunday, as we will be supporting and enjoying the Corn Festival festivities also.However if you would like afterwards to visit our gardens you can see the corn and all the other beautiful plants growing in our spiral garden. The SD Gardens Education Center will be receiving a beehive from the NYCBeekeepers.org they are donating a beehive to SDGardens.They have been holding one for Sargent~Downing Gardens and have just been awaiting the approval by the Beacon Recreation Dept. and the Beacon City Council. We need your support: Bikeable Beacon and Scenic Hudson has been advocating that the city of Beacon put sharrows on Main Street (and other thoroughfares of the city) for some time. Sharrow is short for 'shared lane bicycle marking', and painting them on Main Street would make clear the current regulations for bikes, which is a/ no bikes on the sidewalks, and b/ bikes and cars share the pavement.
