That would be roughly 828 raw samples yielding roughly 170 chosen sounds.

And that was from a short day; we had preliminary meetings with the Eiffel Tower administration on Day 1, and only started at around…

They are like the tarantula hawk of the desert southwest- they paralyze their prey, put them in a deep brood chamber, deposit a single egg on the still living prey, then its young hatch and eat the cicada alive.

Cicada killers love dry mounds of soft soil (easy digging) to build their brood chambers in, and Scenic Hudson has built the…

Does anyone know about Green Drinks?

Hey! I used to participate in Green Drinks in NYC, Baltimore, London, etc... wherever I was living. I saw a posting from 2009 and 2011 on Beacon Citizen, but nothing current. Anyone up for getting together and having drinks? Doesn't need to be Green, but I like the idea of it!

Borrelia Miyamotoi: emergent tick borne illness

It's a related spirochete to Borrelia burgdorferi (primary Lyme disease causing bug).

But the key difference with this bacterium is you have Lyme symptoms, but no rash.

Wonderful.
