New Main St. pavement markings for bicyclists

This was meant to be posted on the City's website, but it is currently experiencing some technical difficulties:

On Sunday, April 28, 2013 contractors will be installing new pavement markings, called “sharrows” on Main Street.  Sharrows, a representation of a bicycle with two chevrons above it, are a symbol to indicate that motor vehicles and bicycles are to share the lane.  The purpose is steer bicyclists to the safer section of the road (in the center of the sharrow and away…

Over the air HDTV in Beacon?

Has anyone tried to get HDTV channels using an antenna? Before spending money on an antenna to experiment, I am hoping someone here has tried and can report on their success or failure.

Info on VHF/UHF reception in the area would also be interesting, but I'm primarily focused on digital TV signals OTA.
