Yes! i was on BCN and saw your photo message then was looking at some of your other posts on your page and saw the painter recommendation - didn't know it was your husband tho! I really don't have a printed wedding portfolio - most of it is online galleries that i've done for friends and family. It's definitely something that I'm interested in getting into - to transition from doing it "as a wedding gift" for friends to shooting as an assistant to a wedding photographer, then maybe eventually on my own. Would love to talk with you about your career though - maybe get some tips, see if I could work with you at some point...thanks!
I saw your message on BCN about the wedding assistant needed for this weekend.
Unfortunately I can't help you out this weekend, but I would be interested in possibly working with you in the future should you need an assistant in a pinch.
I met you on the Metro North one evening as you were looking through prints you had picked up at your lab that day and I asked you a few questions about your job.
Maybe we can meet up someday and I can show you my wedding portfolio to see if you would be interested in using me as an assistant sometime?
Hey Cappy! Yup-- pretty crazy! Even crazier-- we don't even have any trees growing in our yard! Everything that fell on our house and into our yard is actually growing on the property next to us, which is apparently either owned by the city or the state. We're just lucky our insurance is probably going to take care of the tree removal and the repairs to our house. We bought our place last spring, so our first winter here has certainly been a memorable one! Did you have power the whole time? My friends who live over near you never lost it. We only lost it for about 17 hours, so we consider ourselves pretty lucky. Take care!
