Printmaking Group for Etching and Intaglio prints

To printmakers and artists with printmaking exparience.

There is an opportunity to join a group to share a nice printmaking studio on every Sunday evening at Garrison Art Center.

If you enjoy etching, woodcut prints or monoprints, but haven't done it because of a lack of an access to an etching press. There is a nice print studio right on the Hudson river with a beautiful view.

You can cut down on some studio rental fee as a group. Share some materials. Maybe explore… Continue

Hi: Been Super busy lately, but will try to schedule something for next month---ironically it's the same areas that need cleaning. Will be in touch soon.

Hi Hiro: After doing some scouting around, I think your original suggestion is a good one. Since the only machines will be our hands, we should be ok. I will send a general message to all members re Mount Beacon.

Yes, please come at least for the morning and stay as long as you like. There are other workshops offered by the Trail Conference as well, so you can keep your eye out for dates that work better for you. (sign up to be a member and you'll get the newsletter & calendar) Lets keep in touch about the Mt Beacon/Fishkill ridge stuff -- hopefully this will jump start again soon. Email me at Jospira72 (at) gmail.com and I'll put your name in with the other folks....

Hi Hiro,
I noticed on the Clean Up page that you mentioned being a path volunteer for Scenic Hudson -- that is great! I want to let you know that I am a volunteer with the NY-NJ Trail Conference, which is a partner with Scenic Hudson and many other park owners to build and maintain hiking trails. Also, there is a local Beacon group trying to get organized to do more maintenance on the trails up and over Mt Beacon. We have been working with Scenic Hudson too -- we all have the same goals.

Please come to our upcoming trail workshop if you can! It is Sept 26 at University Settlement Camp theater building. I will be leading this workshop, and posted it to BCN. Here is the direct link to the registration, http://www.nynjtc.org/view/workshops

Happy hiking! I hope to meet you.
Josie

Hi: I thought I'd respond to your question directly. First off, recent turn-outs have been low; 3-6 people. It seems we have a lot of "members", but not a lot of garbage-pickers. I like your suggestion, but if there are insurance questions, I'll find another location and will share that with all members next week. Thanks!
