Prepare your yard for winter.

Join Anna West on Thursday, October 21st, at 7pm, for tips on how to

prepare your yard, garden and compost for winter. Fall is also the

gardener who will explain how to save money, limit your garbage output

and decrease your yard work. The workshop will be held at the School

of Jellyfish at 183 Main Street in Beacon. This event is free and open

think a red bike with thin tires was solen today.

My friend asked me to post this for her. If you parked your red bike with thin tires by the piers, and it is no longer there, contact the MTA police.

She told me this person took a long, long time to "unlock" the bike and then put it in a red van. She went to the MTA police and gave them evidence for you and but doesn't want her name posted.

Texas Tacos! on 52

A new yummy taco place opened a week ago near where 52 meets 84. Tacos, burritos and ice cream too (maybe you remember it as the old ice cream place). We tried the steak tacos and they were delicious. Really nice people, too.

The New Direction Signs

Who ever designed and placed the new directional signs deserves a metal, a gold star and a good day. Don't you think they are perfect, much better than the original signs? At first glance, I didn't like the brown but after a couple viewings think that is a good color. The Main Street ones, esp are so clear and easy to read.

Love 'em.

hiya birdy!
i have taken my own...both digitally and slides...i used tungsten slide film and lights, but i do not have my lights here...and i could never get them to look as good and professional as they should...i am looking at digitally..i need to make a disc to send to grad schools...i also want to make prints at some point of a series of paintings...i want to get the colors as right as possible, though...i guess they would have to be the specifications that the printers require...as far as print size...i want giclee prints, and the paintings are 16x24 and 32x24...maybe a little smaller, but not much at all
thanks for any info

Hi Birdy--was wondering if I could visit your garden some time soon just for a look-see? I am planning a raised garden bed (small) on top of a french drainage ditch outside my kitchen, where the rocks are exposed--I want to put dirt on top of that and raise it for a 12 square garden people were talking about. If you could spare about 20 minutes of your time where I can see your set-up and ask questions directly, it would be much appreciated. I get buggy looking for info on the computer all the time. Show & tell is most helpful for me. Thanks!
