Hello,Can anyone recommend a local dog sitter for day and overnight stays?  We know about Bow Wow Haus in Garrison, and Leroy Williams here in Beacon, but I don't think Leroy is dog sitting anymore though :( so I'm looking for alternatives. Thanks!

I would like to recommend the Vintage Cafe on Main St. across from the Electric Windows. It is a nice little oasis to stop and get a bite to eat after strolling by the Falls and East Main Area of town. Low stress environment and nice homey food make it very enjoyable. Prices are right too!

Just had  a terrific carpentry contractor experience with Avalon Framers.   Tom stayed with me and my bizarre taste for Swedish design until 3 AM!!!  His number is 845-440-8776.

As the owner of two cats, let me recommend Paws and Mittens on Main Street next to Comptech and the Barkery.  Maria, the owner, has a wonderful way with tense and nervous kitties, calming them down and cleaning them up.  I cannot speak on behalf of dogs, but for your cat's sake, definitely use Paws and Mittens for your kitty's regular and special grooming needs.

If you are looking for a contractor to work on renovations for your house, the best person in Beacon is Patrick Freeman. Website: Freemanwoodworks.com and tel: 845-240-0997 . He has both overseen as a contractor and personally done fabulous renovations to my house on Chestnut Street in Beacon. I strongly recommend him for any serious renovating work. Patrick has a strong artistic sensibility due to his woodworking (see website) combined with a broad vision of how to put components together to create a home (or renovate a home) to meet your goals as a homeowner. The one thing you can not persuade him to do is cheap, shoddy work. Everything Patrick does is quality, but reasonably priced.

Does anyone know of a good contractor that would install fencing? I am looking for a reliable and reasonable price contractor. Potential for 2 jobs as my neighbor has interest to do fencing as well.
