I love Golden Rail too! Bacchus in New Paltz has an amazing selection and recently they've had Lagunitas IPA (brewery in California) on tap, and it's awesome! Have any of you been to Keegan Ales in Kingston? Also awesome.
I haven't been into the local bar scene but have been wanting to get over to the golden rail one of these days. Two great bars in Brooklyn that I visited recently:

Mug's Ale House - Awesome bottle list and great selection on tap
Radegast Biergarten - German beer garden

BTW - another good Brooklyn bar, d.b.a, is having it's first annual cask festival this weekend.
Isn't DBA in the east village on 2nd Ave?

Yes - that's the original. They opened one in Williamsburg last year, 113 North 7th Street.

Sweet! I'll have to check it out next time I had to the Brooklyn Brewery!

Another local spot in Beacon would be Chill. While they don't have any taps they have a good selection of bottles. Anything from Avery brewery in CO is awesome and they always have a few. Needs to get a few good Belgian Beers in though. Something you can sit and enjoy with a few people just as if you where to buy a bottle of wine.
