Windows on Main Street is a collaborative project between artists and businesses — engaging residents and visitors alike through site-specific public art installations in storefronts along Beacon’s historic Main Street.
BEAHIVE is hosting the closing reception. Participating artists will be on hand signing a book that showcases the project.
The exhibit explores how art can provide cultural and social understanding, be a catalyst for economic improvement in communities, and strengthen the relationship between residents and artists.
With 49 artists participating, Windows on Main Street has a powerful effect both as a whole and as individual displays, showcasing the artistic intentions of Beacon and the variety of local businesses actively showing their support.
The installations are on display Aug. 13 through Sept. 10.
