Beacon High School is presenting "The Odd Couple" this weekend (Friday and Saturday night), with a twist; two women are playing the parts of Oscar and Felix (not as Oscar and Felix though, but two women, and not the "Female Odd Couple" (as far as I know, because I saw the script they are using, and it's for the original; perhaps the director didn't know about the female version?) Anyway, I haven't seen any articles in the Pok Journal about it, so I thought it deserved a post (and my daughter is the the female "Oscar" ;) ). Last year, when they did "Gypsy", they got quite a few extra audience members due to the pub crawl and it was nice to have a full audience. (perhaps the 2nd Saturday effect will pull more people in for this show) They had some great laughs during that show, and I expect this show to have a lot more. Please support the students efforts to put on a great show! Advance tickets are $8 for students, $10 for adults. Tickets also available at the door.
