Event Description

Show off your pumpkin-carving artistry and see Long Dock Park ablaze with jack-o’-lanterns—including yours. Pumpkins will be available for carving Wednesday, Oct. 24, through Friday, Oct. 26. Friday night they’ll be lit and displayed throughout the park. Pumpkins are free but limited, so RSVP early.

Carving times:  Oct. 24-25: 3:30 – 7 p.m.; Oct. 26: 3:30 – 5 p.m.

Parking is limited; if possible, please carpool, walk, bike or use mass transit. (The park is a short walk from Beacon’s Metro-North station and ferry landing.)

MEETING PLACE: Scenic Hudson's Long Dock Park

DIRECTIONS: From Newburgh-Beacon Bridge: 1.8 miles south on Rte. 9D, right on Beekman St., right on Red Flynn Dr. (over railroad tracks), immediate left on Long Dock Rd. Mass transit: The park is a short walk from the Beacon train station and ferry landing.

You can carve on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30 - 7 p.m. and Friday from 3:30 - 5 p.m.

Is the pumpkin carving just on Wednesday night as seems to be indicated on the Scenic Hudson events page, or can you do the pumpkins on any of the three nights if you reserve?
