Event Description

FAMILY MUSICAL BASED ON POPULAR CHILDREN'S BOOK IS STAGED IN THE HUDSON VALLEY
4th Wall Productions, in association with Rhinebeck Bank, announced that Pinkalicious, The Musical For Everybody will open this Friday, October 19 for a two week engagement at The Beacon (Theatre), 445 Main Street, in the historic City of Beacon. Performances will be from October 19 – 28th with the curtain going up Friday and Saturday nights at 7PM with Sunday matinees at 3PM. 4th Wall Productions is the house theatre company of The Beacon who is staging the musical based on the popular children's book of the same name.

This is the tale of Pinkalicious, who can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe – a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this pink predicament.

A huge hit Off-Broadway, Pinkalicious makes the Hudson Valley her home for a limited time. A portion of each ticket sold goes to the Melissa DePaolo Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance when needed for those taking classes in the arts at The Beacon; a wish that Ms. DePaolo made before losing her fight to breast cancer at the age of 38. A well-loved resident of Beacon, Ms. DePaolo also founded the Forget-U-Cancer Fund whose mission is to raise funds to support those living in our communities who are affected by cancer.

Pinkalicious is directed by Christine Vittorini with set design by James Brady. The musical was written by Elizabeth Kann & Victoria Kann, with music by John Gregor
and lyrics by John Gregor, Elizabeth Kann & Victoria Kann. The show is based on the childrens' book “Pinkalicious” by Elizabeth Kann & Victoria Kann.

Tickets can be purchased in advance through thebeacontheatre.org or at the door the day of performance if tickets are still available.
BOTH SUNDAY PERFORMANCES ARE NOW SOLD OUT!
