Tom Williams is a critic and art historian living in New York City. He completed a PhD from Stony Brook University where he wrote a dissertation on Claes Oldenburg, Eros, and the 1960s. He has published in Art in America, Grey Room, and elsewhere. He has taught at Binghamton University, the Museum of Modern Art, New York University, the School of Visual Arts, and other institutions.
