Dia:Beacon’s quarterly Community Free Days offer engaging programs for broad audiences, including thematic tours of the collection and special exhibitions, Gallery Talks, interactive workshops for children and families, and performances.
Admission is free for residents of Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester counties.
11:30 am Point-of-Entry Tour and Movement Lab
Artist educator Hannah Verrill leads an interactive tour for participants of all ages, which considers the body’s encounter with site and object through processes of observation, improvisation, and composition. Visitors are also invited to participate in a drop-in, movement-based workshop to further explore the themes of the point-of-entry tour. (30-minute tour; movement lab hours 12–4 pm)

Encouraging engagement with Robert Irwin’s work through conversation, artist educator Audra Wolowiec leads intimate tours for individuals and families throughout the day. (every 30 minutes between 12 and 4 pm)
1 pm Public Tour
Dia guide Heather Cotter leads a public tour of the collection on view at Dia:Beacon. (1 hour)
2 pm Gallery Talk
Curator Kelly Taxter leads a focused talk on Fred Sandback. (1 hour)
