You can click here for the text of the Address. He certainly talks about the Incline Rail Project, but unless I'm missing something, he never actually promises any County support. He does commit to the hiring of a "County Historian" but I'm unclear what that person would actually do.

The big issue he's facing in Steinhaus' spend down of the reserve fund before he left office. With tax revenues being what they are right now, and having run on a tax-averse platform, he doesn't have a lot of options. Even with the county jail and the solid waste issues, he's only really hiring individuals to study the situations, but not actually proposing plans of action. Really that goes for the Historian as well. Until these hires are in office and subsequently produce plans, we continue at status quo.

5 pm is too early for me because of work.

I hope somebody can tape the address/ report on the address. Mainly because of the wonderful news that Mr. Molinaro will be talking about the incline railroad restoration effort.
