THE CLUB is a dark comedy that takes place in shabby, rustic restaurant-bar attached to a 13-hole golf course. In this nine character play, every character has secrets and is not what they first seem to be. As the play evolves their true natures and objectives are revealed with humor and compassion.
Rehearsals are: Thursday, October 7th 8 to 10pm AND Friday, October 15th 5:30 -- 8:30pm. All rehearsals and the reading will be at the Poughkeepsie Day School. On October 21st -- your call time will be about 90 minutes prior to the reading.

Please note: the writer, the director and the production staff are working theatre and film professionals and educators. We are interested in creating a forum for new works in the Hudson Valley. Thanks for your interest.
Melissa Paley. Waitress, 19. A young woman who seems out place in her own life and at work. She wants something better for herself in life and has found a unique way to pursue her goals. She is attractive, comfortable in her own body and not afraid to speak her mind.
Brice Garber. Member, Entrepreneur, early 40s. Dreamer and schemer. He has big plans for the golf club and is pursing them with or without the support of the rest of the membership. He is the type of person who is always looking down the road rather than living in the present. Handsome and considers himself to be a ladies’ man.
Kerrie Kline. Waitress, mid to late 30s. She is a big fan of keeping things in order. Has a clear sense of what is right and wrong. She believes everything and everyone has its place and doesn’t take it well when things aren’t going according to the plan as she sees it and has no problem adjusting the course of events to make sure they stay on the "right" track.
Lance Linwood, Member, late 20s. Brice’s side kick. He too has big plans and dreams of living large. Brice’s plans just might help Lance make his dreams real. A handsome man who also has his eye on one of the club employees. Good looking, but not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Stuart Chang, Out of town businessman, 40s. Stuart plays a big part in Brice’s plan. Only he doesn’t know it. Loves golf. Actor needs to be Asian and have a slight Asian accent.
