Beacon consignment shop, Blackbird Attic, is hosting a community event to celebrate the New Year and a fresh start for your wardrobe. This interactive event, entitled "C.A.T. : Clothes. Art. Trashion”, is open to anyone who would like to participate.
To inspire community members to recycle and reuse, Blackbird Attic will be accepting clothing and accessories for a free swap. Along with the swap, local Beaconite, Ashley Snively, and a handful of other local artists are creating wearable art out of recycled materials that will then be showcased in a fashion runway show.
The event will take place on Second Saturday, January 11th, at 442 Main Street in Beacon, NY from 6-9pm. Refreshments and snacks will be served.
